We use the state-of-the-art Vortex Drying System principles in order to completely dry all affected areas as quickly as possible to minimize secondary damage to the structure and other building contents.
Our Process
- Thorough Inspection: We complete a thorough inspection of the property to determine the source of the water and insure that proper repairs have been made to eliminate additional water intrusion. Our highly-trained technicians will then use moisture-detection equipment to identify all of the areas affected by the water.
- Extraction: Water extraction is performed either with a truck-mounted unit or with a portable extraction unit. Physical removal of the water is 500 times faster than relying on equipment alone. Proper extraction directly affects the duration of the drying process. Inefficient extraction leads to longer drying times, more equipment, and unnecessary additional costs.

- Create a Drying Chamber: We isolate the affected area by creating a “drying chamber.” We can do this by simply closing a door or by using plastic sheeting to create a partition. This allows our drying equipment to work more efficiently, reducing drying time and project costs.
- Drying Equipment: Fans are also installed to speed up moisture evaporation from structural materials. Dehumidifiers are also used to remove evaporated moisture, promote additional evaporation, and prevent secondary damage caused by the absorption of moisture into books, furniture, photographs, etc.
- Temperature Control: We control the temperature so that our drying process doesn’t over-load the cooling capacity of your property’s A/C system. Today’s dehumidifiers are designed to work efficiently between 70 & 90 degrees, so you’re A/C system plays an important role in keeping the equipment working efficiently.

- Intrusive Measures: There are times when we need to carefully remove baseboards or drill holes in drywall or cabinet bases to create a path for trapped moisture to escape and allow proper airflow for complete drying.
- Daily Monitoring: Each loss is re-inspected daily so that necessary adjustments can be made. We take frequent moisture readings and use Psychometry (the science of drying) to confirm that we have created and maintained an environment conducive to rapid drying.
Because we adhere strictly to Vortex Drying System principles, we can confidently determine when the drying process is complete. Complete drying is your BEST defense in the prevention of mold growth and unnecessary secondary damages.
