INSURANCE COMPANIESinsurance1

A significant amount of Ankle Deep’s work comes directly from assignments made by professionals within the claims departments of insurance companies. As a preferred mitigation/remediation contractor for many of the major insurance companies, Ankle Deep provides its clients with unparalleled service due to its unique insight into the insurance industry.

The owner and founder of Ankle Deep, Harold Fletcher, has education and experience in the insurance industry that includes:

B.S.B.A. in Risk Management & Insurance from Florida State University

Associate In Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

Currently holds Independent All Lines Claims Adjuster license.

Acquired 10 years experience within the insurance industry working as an Insurance Analyst, All Lines Agent, and Field Adjuster.

Based on his experience in the insurance industry, Ankle Deep’s technicians have been insurance2trained to:

1. Address the homeowner’s immediate issues in order to reduce  claim-related damages. Prompt response to all emergency assignments helps to reduce secondary damage, thus reducing claim costs.

2. Work within the guidelines set forth by each insurance company. For example, obtaining adjuster approval before removing carpet, perforating walls, removing drywall, or disposing of damaged contents.

3. Differentiate between claim-related damages and pre-existing damages.

4. Identifying subrogation and obtain the proper documentation and evidence to support it.

Ankle Deep provides our insurance industry clients with the following documented information on each loss we handle:

1. Loss Report noting the areas affected, damages observed to the structure and contents, subrogation comments, and services completed to date.

2. Digital photos of the areas affected and claim-related damages.

3. Diagram of the loss including measurements. Click for sample diagram

4. Moisture Mapping Sheets that note the moisture content of the affected structural materials, updated on a daily basis. Click for sample Moisture Mapping Sheetsinsurance3

5. Daily Drying Logs that note the Temperature, Relative Humidity, GPP, and Grain Depression of the affected areas of a water loss, as well as an unaffected area to serve as a comparison. Again, updated on a daily basis.  Click for sample Drying Log

6. Equipment Worksheets that notes the calculations completed to accurately determine the amount of equipment needed for water loss.

7. Invoicing based on agreed pricing with the Insurance Company.

8. Timely and accurate communication with the insurance company’s claims adjuster via phone, fax, and email.

Our loss report and related paperwork enables adjusters to address subrogation, separate prior damages from those associated with the claim event, set appropriate reserves on a claim, and address structural and content damages beyond mitigation/remediation.

PROPERTY MANAGERS

Ankle Deep’s services are used by several large property management companies overseeing communities totaling over half a million residential and commercial properties. These firms are comfortable referring us to their clients because we respect the properties we work in by:

insurance4Focusing on keeping the common areas clean. We remove debris from a property through the use of our own portable dumpsters. This keeps tired technicians from dragging bags through the parking lot or tossing debris over the railings.

Using carts to shuttle equipment to and from the residence. This prevents unnecessary damage to elevators and common hallway walls.

Being courteous to curious neighbors while respecting the privacy of the client we are working for. We do not discuss the work that is being performed. This is important when we are performing our mold remediation services as hysteria has a tendency to create unwanted problems within the community.

Communicating with the condo association and property manager as to the progress of the project.

Whether it is cleaning the common hallway carpet, handling a large multi-unit flood, handling a small single unit flood, or performing mold remediation, Ankle Deep puts its property manager clients at ease by handling each assignment in a timely and efficient manner.

Ankle Deep will never offer to pay finder’s fees to any of your maintenance staff for referring our services. We conduct our business both ethically and professionally with the highest level of integrity.

Ankle Deep is here for you, 24/7, 365 days a year.
