Our History:
While working in the insurance industry as an insurance adjuster, I can’t tell you how many times I heard homeowners describe themselves as being “ankle-deep in water.” So naming this business came easily when I started it in 2000.
What put me on the path to establishing Ankle Deep were the endless complaints I heard as an adjuster, about the poor quality of the services received from the service companies chosen to help them clean up and restore their properties. It was heartbreaking to discover that folks who had just experienced a frightening loss, possibly even a tragedy, were being “taken to the cleaners” by the very companies charged with cleaning up the mess! It made me angry.
And the anger became a wake up call, with “Ankle Deep” written all over it. Here was a “niche” I could enter as a small business owner, a niche with immense room for improvement, and one that would support my family and me. It was obvious to me that what people wanted and needed in a service company was prompt, professional, courteous professionals who understood how vital it is to get the job done, and done right, without delay and with uncompromising integrity.
So in March of 2000, I opened my business and I have never looked back, except to smile. The testimonials from Ankle Deep clients that you’ll be reading along the way have been music to my ears, in sharp contrast to what I heard for years as an insurance adjuster. My insurance industry background allows me to train my staff about insurance claims procedures and guidelines. Our staff properly advises each insurance adjustor about the scope of the loss, better serving the homeowner. And we work with all insurance carriers.
